Finance Officer\n\nLocation: Stevenage, SG1\nPay Rate: £17.85 per hour\nContract: Temporary (with potential extension)\nStart Date: ASAP\nEnd Date: August 2026\nHours: Full-time, 37 hours per weekAbout the Role\n\nYou will be supporting the Client Finance Team, who manage the finances of individuals who lack capacity to do so themselves under appointeeship and deputyship arrangements. Due to increased workload, the team is seeking additional support from detail‑driven, proactive Finance Officers.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nManaging a varied caseload\nProcessing payments accurately and promptly\nHandling bill payments including rent, utilities, and care fees\nCompleting detailed budget planners\nEnsuring correct income is allocated to each case\nLiaising with internal teams, care providers, and external organisations\nUsing multiple case management systems to maintain accurate records \n\nSkills & Experience Required\n\nStrong attention to detail\nPrevious finance experience\nExcellent numerical ability\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively\nConfident using various case management systems\nStrong Excel skills (formulas, spreadsheets, data handling) \n\nIf you have the right skills and experience and are looking for a rewarding role within a supportive team, apply today with your updated CV.\n\nPlease be aware this advert will remain open until the vacancy has been filled.
