HGV Hiab Driver

We are currently recruiting a skilled and reliable HGV HIAB Driver for various contracts in Exeter and the surrounding area. You will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of materials to residential and commercial sites using a lorry-mounted crane (HIAB).\n\nThis is a customer-facing role and ideal for a driver who takes pride in safety, punctuality, and excellent service.\n\nCompetitive Pay | Overtime Available | Immediate Starts | Training\n\nWe have work in various locations including Exeter, Cullompton, Okehampton, Crediton, Torbay, Honiton and more.\n\nGuaranteed weekly salary for the right person (up to £37,400 plus O/T on occasion depending on experience and task).\n\nOwn transport required to get to assignments.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * Operate HIAB vehicle to deliver materials to various sites (Current ticket preferred, although training can be given).\n\n * Hiab experience\n\n * HGV Driving experience\n\n * Load and unload using the lorry-mounted crane (brick grab or hook, both preferred)\n\n * Conduct daily vehicle checks and ensure compliance with all transport legislation\n\n * Maintain accurate delivery paperwork\n\n * Represent the company professionally at all times\n\nRequirements\n\n * Valid UK HGV Licence\n\n * HIAB Certificate(ALLMI or equivalent – brick grab and/or hook) – refresher available for the right candidate.\n\n * Valid CPCand Digital Tachograph Card\n\n * Minimum 6 months HIAB experience preferred\n\n * Good knowledge of local roads and delivery procedures\n\n * Reliable, punctual and well-presented\n\nBenefits\n\n * Weekly pay\n\n * Overtime & weekend work available\n\n * Holiday pay accrued\n\n * Long-term work with the potential for permanent role\n\n * Supportive transport and logistics team\n\n * Training and progression opportunities\n\n * Uniform\n\n * Pension (after 12 weeks)\n\n * Medicash Plan option for full time employees\n\nIf you are a motivated individual looking for an opportunity in a supportive environment, we encourage you to apply for this position as a Hiab driver today!\n\nBy applying for this position, you consent to Backline collecting and processing the personal data you have supplied.
