School Caretaker\n\nLocation: Bradford, BD5\nStart Date: Immediate Start Available\nJob Type: Ongoing\nPay Rate: £14.12 per hour\nWorking Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm\n\nHalf-Term Working Hours\n\nDuring school half terms, shifts will be reduced to either:\n\n10:00am - 2:00pm\nor\n9:00am - 1:00pm\n\nAbout the Role\n\nWe are currently seeking a reliable, hardworking, and proactive School Caretaker to join a busy school site in Bradford (BD5). This is an ongoing position offering consistent weekday hours within a supportive educational environment.\n\nPlease note: applicants must hold an Enhanced DBS certificate that is registered on the DBS Update Service.\n\nThe successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining the safety, cleanliness, and overall presentation of the school premises, ensuring the site is secure, clean, well-maintained, and operational at all times.\n\nThis role includes both caretaker and cleaning responsibilities.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nOpening and locking the school premises\nGeneral maintenance and basic repairs\nCarrying out daily cleaning duties across classrooms, corridors, toilets, offices, and communal areas\nEnsuring the school grounds and buildings are clean, safe, and secure\nWaste disposal and replenishing cleaning supplies\nCarrying out health & safety checks\nSetting up rooms and facilities for school activities or events\nMonitoring heating, lighting, and alarm systems\nLiaising with contractors and school staff when required\nResponding promptly to site issues and maintenance requests\n\nCandidate Requirements\n\nPrevious caretaker, cleaning, maintenance, or site assistant experience essential\nEnhanced DBS certificate registered on the DBS Update Service is mandatory\nGood practical maintenance skills\nUnderstanding of cleaning standards and health & safety procedures\nReliable, punctual, and able to work independently\nGood communication and organisational skills\n\nWhat We Offer\n\n£14.12 per hour\nOngoing, stable employment\nMonday to Friday working schedule\nSupportive school environment\nImmediate start available\nOpportunity to work within the education sectorIf you are interested in this position and meet the requirements, please apply with your CV today.\n\n#INDBRC\n\nBarker Ross Group values diversity and promotes equality.
